Two Dash Two Films is an independent production company making character driven stories about people at moments of quiet rupture; often unfolding in in small town America.

Our films prioritize performance, atmosphere, and behavior over exposition or spectacle. Rather than pushing toward neat conclusions, they stay with unresolved situations, paying attention to how people live alongside damage they cannot easily name or escape.

Two Dash Two Films is led by filmmaker Nathan Batt, whose work has screened internationally across short and feature length projects. His films are grounded in naturalistic storytelling and close collaboration with actors and crew. The company is currently developing Batt’s debut feature EMILY alongside other narrative projects in early stages.

Our focus is on lean productions, long term creative partnerships, and work that trusts the audience. These are films meant to linger rather than explain.

Two Dash Two Films was not formed as a brand or a business strategy, but as a practical response to how the work was already being made. After years of making films across the country, the goal became less about scale and more about continuity. We exist to protect a way of working built on time, trust, and attention to performance, allowing relationships with actors and collaborators to carry forward into longer form projects without pressure to simplify, explain, or dilute the material.

We are currently focused on developing first features and building ongoing collaborations with actors, producers, and craftspeople of all kinds.
